Pallet sizes
EUR pallet
The most common pallet types are the traditional EUR-pallets. The pallets are produced according to UIC Standard 435-2.
Specifications:
- Size: 800x1200mm
- Pallet wood: poplar, pine, pressed wood
- Load capacity: 1500 kg
US Pallet
American (USA) pallets are the most commonly used pallets across North America but they are also commonly used everywhere now. Size: 48″x 40″. Widely used for overseas shipping.
Specifications:
- Main usage: overseas freight forwarding
- Size: 1219 × 1016 mm (48” x 40”)
- Load capacity: 1500 kg
French Pallet
A 1000 x 1200 x 149 is the standard French sized pallet. It generally used for shipping of sacked goods but it is also suitable for stacking materials. Interesting that although they are four-way entry pallets, they can be easily moved with a pallet truck.

- Main usage: shipping of sacked goods, stacking and storage of materials
- Size: 1000 x 1200 x 149 mm
- Load capacity: 1500 kg
UK Pallet
UK pallets are the most popular pallets in the UK, hence the name. They – just like other pallets – can also be found in other countries and regions in the world now.. The most widely used size is 1200 x 1000 mm, load capacity is 1.500 kg.
Specifications:
- Main usage: freight transportation to the UK
- Size: 1000×1200 mm
- Load capacity: 1500 kg
Half pallet
The EUR-6-pallet is exactly half the size of the traditional EUR-pallet.
They are light, small and easy to move. They are a great option for smaller warehouses.
Specifications:
- Main usage: retail, smaller warehouses
- Size: 600×800 mm
- Load capacity: 750 kg
Pallet collar
The flexible pallet collar system has many advantages: pallet collars and lids allow you to build layers until you reach your desired height for your shipping box. Since collars can be taken apart easily when not in use they save valuable storage space.
